| Wendy Vere has
been interested in acupuncture as a healing therapy since school
days and while at Cambridge. In 1986 she attended a training course
in Veterinary Acupuncture (VA) at the University of Guangzhou PRC,
and is a founder member of the Association of British Veterinary
Acupuncturists which runs training in VA for UK vets. Wendy Vere
is a practising veterinary acupuncturist and a lecturer and trainer
in VA techniques. Acupuncture, laser therapy, and other therapies
such as massage and nutritional support, are clinically valid methods
of treatment and are particuarly helpful where animals are not respnding
to orthodox therapies, or where undesirable side effects are produced
by drug therapy. Veterinary Acupuncture and associated therapies
concentrate on restoring the balance of the whole of the animal's
body, and recognises that the body has an astonishing capacity for
healing without recourse to pharmaceuticals. |
